JOURNEY OF CAEIAN

It was during the month of May-June 2010. I have passed my class XII examination in May 2009 and have already wasted a year since, deciding on where to study next. One fine day, an advertisement of College of Aeronautical Engineering, Borjhar caught my attention. A course on Aeronautics intrigued me. Also it is one of its kind institutes in North East India. Who else have a MIG-21 aircraft guarding its premises? Later, I learnt that the college administration & faculty had undergone a lot of hardship to establish this prestigious institute. That a MIG-21 has been gifted to this institute by Indian Air Force, literally the Govt. of India, speaks volume about its stature. Wasting no time, I enlisted myself into the three years Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course. There were so much expectations and fears roaming in my mind before my first day. But I got the best of faculty an institute in North east can provide. With all practical items in hand and all training done in college premises itself, we are also lucky to have been allowed to take practical training sessions in Indian Air Force bases which is strictly prohibited to civilians of all kind. Also visits to Mc Leod Russels, Tezpur, ITI Guwahati and likes increased our reservoir of knowledge! Guest lecturers from AEC, Guwahati University and other reputed institute refined our education.

JOURNEY TO SUCCESS

Aeroplanes have always been a dream in my mind since childhood. I used to remember the days in school when I used to run on the field to see only a glimpse of an aeroplane whenever it passes by. Days passed by as I grew up and I made up my mind to be an Aeroplane specialist. After my completion of 10+2, I tried hard to find the best aviation college in India, and suddenly a newspaper add appeared “COLLEGE OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING, Guwahati” admission going on. I thought this would be my destination and so I enrolled myself in this college. To be a member of this prestigious college, I feel myself to be lucky enough. I was mesmerised by the attention and care of my instructors, my seniors, juniors and all the members of this college. Specially I would like to mention the love and care of our CMD Sir and MD madam without whose support my journey would have not been possible. Being from a small town lad and to make a niche in this high profile Aviation Industry was not easy for me. I made up my mind that I must be success and hence completed my Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course successfully. After completion of college was the fear of getting a good job as it is every student’s wish. But thanks to CMD Sir that he gave me a chance. Hence TATA AEROSPACE came my way as a campus placement and I succeeded in the interview. Today I feel proud to be an employee of TATA Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Ltd and all this success goes to one and only to my college “COLLEGE OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING (CAE), Guwahati”.
Last but not the least again I thank from the bottom of my heart and wish that our college would achieve great heights of success.”

Because I have a dream to touch the height of the sky from my very childhood and by admitting myself into this course, I gradually precede towards my dream. In the college, our instructors are very supportive. They are always there for us to provide the sufficient knowledge about our course and I must have to say that only because of their affection and care I am being able to reach at this position. They always encouraged us and told us that they will help us to make eligible for a better future. Recently, I have joined at TATA LOCKHEED MARTIN AEROSTRUCTURES LTD through campus interview as an AME trainee and it brings a great turn into my career. Now I can be proud of myself as a disciple of this college, because the basic pavement which is the secret of my success is built on this college. Before joining I have gone through some sort of formalities like personal interview and medical test. It is a great experience to work here where I get the opportunity to develop my potentials. At last, my best wishes are always there both for my college and for my juniors.
