As per information from Air India, Indian Airlines, Pawan Hans Ltd. and other private Airlines, engineers are getting starting gross salary of Rs. 40,000/- which goes upto Rs. 5.3 lakhs per month. Besides this, they enjoy better placements in metros and other major cities, better social status and perks like free air travels etc. Very few or almost none of other field or profession in the country is paying at par with it. These engineers also have better career opportunities abroad since this license is equivalent to International Civil Aviation Organization, type II standard license.
